About Little Legends
We set up Little Legends for one main reason: to stop parents feeling stuck.
A while ago, Vicky used to live in a flat with her two children.
"It took me half an hour to get out of the front door with the boys, their pram, their nappies - grim really. On top of that, I didn't know anyone else with young kids.
The local CIS published a useful leaflet. But I then had to spend ages looking up each playgroup on my A to Z to see if it was anywhere near me. Having narrowed down the options to a handful, I then had to visit each group to find out how good they were."
It was time-consuming, hard work, and from what other friends have said, a common experience. So we put our heads together to see whether we could make the whole process quicker.
Little Legends is the result. Anyone can add or review a place, and anyone can see what's near them on a map. It's a first step at making the parents' grapevine more visible.
Anyway, if you're wondering what the dodgy photo is, well that's us - Vicky and Piers - on Hadrian's Wall. If you've been to there more recently than the 1970s, why not add a review?
It really might help someone feel less stuck.
