Notes

The Safari Park opened in 1971 by the 18th Earl of Derby, and today is directed by the 19th Earl of Derby. We have around 30 species of mammal roaming 200 hectares of land, plus a few birds, reptiles and invertebrates. The welfare of our animals is of top priority, and we believe that the extra space available in the safari park enables our animals to live as natural a life as possible in the park.

Brilliant day out for all the family! The park has a 'car friendly' route too so you can bypass the pesky monkeys! There is a fair there too and a new attraction has recently been opened there where you can climb on high ropes (not for the faint hearted).
